What is EdApp?

EdApp is a free online training platform that focuses on allowing people to create microlearning lessons that can be easily accessed on a mobile device. Essentially it is a Learning Management System that focuses on interactive experiences to engage learners. It can be used solely by itself or integrated into an LMS that you already use.

What can it be used for?

EdApp works great for creating small interactive bite sized lessons for students. It has countless different interactive tools you can use to create lessons. The

1. Interactive Content - You can use interactive image galleries, hot spot images, expandable lists, maps, media collections, and more to present your content to your students.
2. Concept Tools - In EdApp you can create interactive concept activities to have your learners recreate and filter ideas. They have features that allow them to drag missing words in to sentences, construct sentences, strike out incorrect words and filling in missing blanks.
3. Quizzes & Surveys - EdApp allows you to create interactive quizzes and surveys that can be interspersed throughout lesson content to integrate formative assessments into the content lessons.
4. Games - Finally, EdApp also comes equipped with preconfigured games that can be used to reinforce concepts for learners.

All of these features can be combined with powerpoint slides, videos, and instruction to create small easy to use interactive lessons for your students. Sure some of these things can be repliocated in a standard LMS, but because EdApp focuses on mobile microlearning they do those things better than any major LMS we have seen so far. How do I get started?

EdApp is a freemium tool, but you get a lot of features in the free version. With the free version you can create an unlimited number of courses for an unlimited number of users, you just cant use some of their user groups or custom achievement features. To get started then you can sign up for the free account and get started creating some courses with lesson content. We recommend first identifying what lessons or activities you have that can already be made bit-sized and then attempt making it in EdApp.
